Base 5 are a group of musicians who effortlessly combine their eclectic tastes in soul, jazz, funk and electronica to create a sound of their own.

As musicians members of the band have been lucky enough to gig and tour all over the world sharing the bill and sometimes performing alongside with varied acts such as, Marlena Shaw, The Dhol Foundation, Jools Holland and the Easy Star All Stars.

The group were brought together by a shared passion for soulful funky music, electronica and most importantly a willingness to create something new musically.

The band have spent the better part of a year developing their sound and working on their debut album “Mr Hogg vs. The Make-up room”. Catch them for their live debut at Jagz, where they’ll be performing their refreshing take on soulful music and seamlessly blending live instruments, loops and synths.
